How to Upload a Video Clip in COVA

This article will outline how to select a channel, define clip details, and upload footage to myDW Cloud Storage using the Video Share feature.

Supported/Affected Devices:

• DW-COVA4 / DW-COVA8 / DW-COVA16

Note: myDW Video Share storage is allocated at 1GB per registered camera, complimentary — up to 4GB for DW-COVA4, 8GB for DW-COVA8, and 16GB for DW-COVA16.

Part 1 — Select a Channel and Open Video Share

1. Navigate to the COVA Home page.

2. Single-click a channel to highlight it for upload. Double-click to expand it to single-channel view.

Note: Video Share supports single channel upload only. The highlighted channel will be used.

3. Click the Video Share button in the toolbar.

Part 2 — Enter Clip Details

4. Enter a Video Title in the field provided.

Note: The title can be modified later within the myDW Video Share library.

5. Set the Start date and time for the clip.

Tip: Manually enter the time or use the – / + buttons for 10-second adjustments.

6. Set the End date and time for the clip.

Tip: Avoid selecting large time ranges — shorter clips upload faster and are easier to review.

7. Select Main Stream or Sub Stream as the stream type.

8. Enter Video Tags to add searchable keywords (optional).

Part 3 — Upload the Clip

9. Click "Upload to myDW" to begin the upload.

Note: An active myDW subscription is required to upload clips.

10. Monitor the progress bar until the upload is complete. Click OK.

11. Click Close to dismiss the dialog.
