How to Search Footage Using IdentiSee in COVA

This article will outline how to open the IdentiSee tab, filter results by channel, time range, and detection type, and open events in the main viewing panel.

Supported/Affected Devices:

• DW-COVA4 / DW-COVA8 / DW-COVA16

Note: IdentiSee works best with V-Class IP cameras, Mx95 series, and DW AI (X-Class) cameras. IVA cameras require additional configuration and do not support thumbnails. Detection zones must be configured in IdentiSee Settings before results will appear.

Part 1 — Open the IdentiSee Tab

1. Navigate to the COVA Home page and click IdentiSee to access the search panel.

Part 2 — Filter Results

2. Use the channel drop-down to select All Channels or a specific camera.

3. Use the time drop-down to filter by time range:
   • Last Hour
   • Last Day
   • Last 7 Days
   • Last 30 Days
   • Any Time
   • Custom

4. Use the detection type drop-down to filter by All Detections, Human, or Vehicle.

5. Click Search.

Part 3 — Browse and Open Results

6. Results display as thumbnail previews with date and time stamps.

Note: If multiple detections share the same timestamp, a thumbnail may not be available. IVA camera thumbnails are not supported.

7. Scroll down or use the mouse scroll wheel to load more results.

8. Click any thumbnail to open the corresponding playback event in the main viewing panel.
