How to Use Live View and Playback in COVA

This article will outline how to navigate Live View, manage cameras in the viewing area, play back recorded footage, and return to live video.

Supported/Affected Devices:

• DW-COVA4 / DW-COVA8 / DW-COVA16

The COVA web client gives you real-time visibility into all connected cameras and instant access to recorded footage — all from any browser, with no software to install.

Part 1 — Navigate to Live View

1. Navigate to the COVA Home page. All connected camera feeds will display in the viewing area automatically.

2. If cameras have been paused or a playback session is active, click the Live button in the toolbar to restore all camera previews to live video.

Tip: Expand the toolbar by clicking the up arrow at the bottom of the viewing area.

Part 2 — Manage Cameras in the Viewing Area

3. Double-click any camera window to expand it to a single-channel full view. All other cameras will be listed in the right panel.

4. Double-click again to return to the multi-channel layout.

5. Click the "x" on any camera window to remove it from the viewing area.

⚠️ Important: Removing all channels from the viewing area will trigger an automatic refresh that reopens all channels. To avoid this, leave at least one camera in the viewing area.

Part 3 — Playback Recorded Footage

6. Right-click anywhere on a camera window in the viewing area. A playback menu will appear.

7. Select one of the following rewind options:
   • Rewind 10 seconds
   • Rewind 30 seconds
   • Rewind 1 minute
   • Rewind 5 minutes

The selected camera will begin playing back from that point in time.

Part 4 — Return to Live View

8. Click the Live button in the toolbar at any time to return all cameras in the viewing area to live video.
