Release Notes
New Features & Improvements
- Added an optional field to the generation pop-up for DW Admin users that let the user include a reference number when entering key information.
- Implemented changes to the requirements for issuing and submitting Subscription Keys in the Billing UI.
- Implemented different images for Camera, Recorder, and Thumbnail icons to make status easier to recognize.
- Added a delete function and ability to reset search terms and remove previous search entries in the search box.
- Dashboard widget now provides the number of recorders and cameras by recorder channel and licenses (Spectrum); added detail link for each recorder type.
- Improved Recording Failed Alert; moved management from Camera Category to System Category.
- Added the Alert status to the Alert List and details pages in real-time through WebSocket events.
- Added subscription permission option to myDW user permission in End User Organizations.
- Administrators can now provide users with text information about new features, accompanied by images. Users will see a pop-up notification that indicates that Display is enabled during the Display Period upon logging in.
- For existing merged DW Spectrum Sites, clicking the Enter button now takes the user to the merged site page and the “+” button has been changed to expand and display the affiliated servers, without opening a different web page.
- Delete button displays when a registered site is opened.
- Added a Version column to the table to display the camera’s currently installed firmware version.
- DW Spectrum and VMAX G4 (1.6.0.8) are supported.
- COVA is not supported by this feature.
- Added a one-time password (OTP) generation feature for Administrator Password reset of VMAX and COVA recorders using their local consoles.
Feature Changes
- Keys that are automatically generated for COVA recorders during automatic registration now displays “COVA 1st yr Free” in the Created By field.
- Sorting is now supported by Channel Partner tier. When sorted by the CP, it is automatically double sorted by the End User tier.
- Modifications have been made to the Subscription Detail display section.
- The Trash icon has been replaced by a “Delete” button and been added to the Merged System Recorder modal. Clicking “Delete” now displays the message “Deleting the system will deregister it from myDW, including all merged servers.”
- In Light Theme (Profile Settings), the recorder status notification text changes from yellow to orange font to improve readability.
- When setting the Organization Name, using leading or trailing spaces has been changed to automatically extra spaces.
- Inviting users to the Organization during the initial creation process is now required for End User tier.
- Subscription Keys now use a 20-digit code and can be stored in the DW ERP system.
- When using an email that has already been registered to the Organization in a user invitation, the message “Your email is already part of this organization,” will display and the repeated email will not be saved.
- The Subscription Key format check method has been modified.
- The recorder serial number is now hidden from the Inventory table list and Export list until the S/N has been entered into the Recorder menu.
- When sending an email for an Inventory Report, the name of the Organization will be displayed as well as the attachment.
- The default 2FA method is set to email verification. The 2FA settings are now hidden until the user verifies their mobile phone number, automatically changing the preferred method to phone authentication. The preferred method can be changed later if needed.
- Resetting a phone number registered for 2FA from myDW will now automatically change the preferred verification method to email verification instead.
- Improved notification text when inviting a user to the myDW Organization.
- Modified descriptions of user group viewer permissions.
- When transferring an Organization, if the user is an Administrator in the source Organization or of a Free Trial Organization in the Channel Parter Organization, transfer is possible.
- When an Organization is added, updated, or deleted, the modified user information is displayed instead of the parent Organization information.
- Added the COVA logo to the Recorder List on the Map.
- The warning pop-up now displays “This will remove every Organization you are associated with,” when deleting your myDW account.
- “CV Enabled” has been changed to “Total Camera” in the CVV Report Email Template.
- When using the Screen Recording function, the codec is now specified and displayed.
- Modified how remaining time is displayed by adding manualTime and a newly generated time.
- Changed the default value of defaultValue text field to correctly display output.
- Modified how Alert Rules display in notifications after creating a new rule.
- When entering an email address, the system will automatically remove spaces that were accidentally included. An email validation “ “ toast message will be displayed for invalid email addresses.
- A message will be delivered to users who have entered an incorrect password.
- Added a UI function to allow users to confirm their entered password.
- Alert Feed and Alert Detail emails have been unified into a single email notice when a user is assigned to an alert.
- Changed how UTC time displays when editing time zones; now set by Organization.
- Recorders, Cameras, and Alerts can now be viewed from a single table in the Health Report email template (Channel Partner tier).
- Map filter has been modified to re-query when recorder information changes.
- Change myDW to send de-registration commands to recorders when in direct mode.
- When manually closing an alert, the alert will be generated again after a wait time if the cause of the alert has not been resolved.
- Hardware Failure description in the Disk Alerts section of Alert Rules has been changed from VMAX (only) to VMAX and COVA.
- Some parts of COVA permission items have been hidden and modified.
- Recorders are now excluded from the widget list if not using End User Organization tier.
- Inventory Report email template has been changed.
- COVA firmware 1.4.8.82262 enables display of the model and manufacturer of LAN cameras connected to the recorder.
- User permission properties that do not correspond with the current Organization have been modified to save as false.
- A limit has been applied to the number of subscription capacity inputs.
- Cleaned up interface and user messages after disconnecting a sub-organization from Channel Partner tier.
- Records in CVV now displays merged system name and individual recorder name simultaneously.
- Added an “Add” button to mobile device version.
- Added an “Add User” button to mobile device version.
- The URL for the IPC setup web page via pathfinder has been modified to connect to setup.mydw.cloud

- At least one recorder must now be selected when editing a User Group.
- Notification for a failed thumbnail upload from COVA will now be displayed in myDW.

Bug Fixes
- Fixed issue where using an email that has already been registered to another Organization
- Fixed an issue where the Owner value would not change what was displayed after transferring ownership of the Organization.
- Fixed an issue where the “open” status would not change to a “closed” status after the modal was closed.
- Fixed an issue where the verification link in the Free Trial invitation email would fail in some mail applications.
- Fixed an issue where, while sending a notification email using the Alert/Report feature, the license would be reported as invalid prior to exportation date regardless of validity.
- Fixed an issue where when refreshing searches, the displayed page would not reset to the first page in the search results.
- Fixed an issue where deleting a registered the phone number from myDW using the “Reset Phone Number” button, the 2FA settings options would be hidden but the method would not automatically switch to the email option, preventing the possibility of completing registration.
- Fixed an issue where the recorder would not disconnect after being deleted from a myDW Organization.
- DVRs are excluded due to firmware compatibility issues and are expected to be supported in myDW update 2.0.81.
- Fixed an issue where information in the Organization list (CP tier) would not automatically update after editing details using the pop-up.
- Fixed an issue where using a keyword search to find a hidden user.
- Fixed a typo in the email template.
- Fixed an issue where the channel count would show a negative value (-1) if there are no cameras attached to a DW Spectrum Site. For VMAX and COVA units, “+1” will also now display if no cameras are attached.
- Fixed an issue where markers with the same geographic location would not be useable while viewing from an iPad.
- Fixed an issue where the UI would not update after reassigning a Recorder Alert.
- Fixed an issue where the Description field would not update after registering some users.
- Fixed an issue where attachments were not visible in Inventory Report emails while using an iCloud email.
- Fixed an issue where the size and height of a widget would not be saved after being modified.
- Fixed an error that occurred when creating a Recorder group.
- Fixed a registration error that occurred when deleting data or removing a recorder takes longer than expected.
- Fixed an issue where after entering an address during a search, the resulting list did not match the input text.
- Fixed an issue where guideline was black while using the Dark Theme; switched to use a brighter color when using Dark Theme.
- Fixed issue where system specification would become stuck in a loading cycle on mobile.
- Fixed an issue where video sharing with users who have not accepted Organization invitations were treated as external users.
- Resolved an issue where the loginOut event (remote access) from the recording device was not retrieved through API.
