Removing A DW Cloud Owner

**IMPORTANT: Removal of the DW Cloud Owner account from DW Spectrum will result in the removal of all DW Cloud accounts that are tied to that System.

If a new DW Cloud account is added as the Owner or if the same DW Cloud account is added again, DW Cloud users will need to be re-invited to the system.

 

**NOTE:  Removing the DW Cloud Owner account from DW Spectrum® Server will result in the removal of all DW Cloud accounts that are tied to that System.

Removing Through the IPVMS Desktop Client

To remove a DW Cloud Owner with the DW Spectrum Client:

  1. Log into the DW Spectrum System as the Owner and open the System Administration menu (CTRL+ALT+A).
  2. Select the DW Cloud tab, then click on the Disconnect System from DW Cloud button.

 

  1. A confirmation pop-up will be displayed. Click the Continue button to proceed.

Enter the Owner user’s login credentials then click “Disconnect” to disconnect the system from DW Cloud.

 

Removing Through the DW Spectrum Web Client

To remove a DW Cloud Owner with the web client:,

  1. Connect with the Server’s web client. You can do this either by
    • Right-clicking on the System in the DW Spectrum Client and selecting “Open Web Client”.

 

  • Or by opening a web browser and using the server’s IP address and port number.
    • Example:  http://192.168.1.100:7001
    • If you are performing this on the Server itself, you can use the loopback address to connect. (e.g. http://127.0.0.1:7001)

 

  1. Log into the web client as the Owner user and select the Settings tab.

In the System Administration > General menu, locate the DW Cloud section.

 

  1. Click the Disconnect from DW Cloud button.

 

  1. A confirmation window will display.

Click the Disconnect button to confirm.

 

Permanently Deleting A DW Cloud Account

By deleting a DW Cloud account, the account will no longer be useable for use with any DW Spectrum system. 

Deleting a DW Cloud account is not for revoking access to a specific DW Spectrum Server or for deleting a user from DW Spectrum IPVMS.

**NOTE:  If the DW Cloud account that you want to delete is the DW Spectrum System Owner, you must disconnect all systems from the DW Spectrum Web portal and disable two factor authentication to delete the account.

 

To delete a DW Cloud account:

  1. Open a web browser and visit https://dwspectrum.digital-watchdog.com.

Click the Log In button and enter the DW Cloud account’s credentials.

 

  1. Click on the Account icon and select Account Settings.

 

  1. The Account Settings window will display.  Click the Delete Account button and enter the account’s password to confirm the deletion.

The account will then be deleted from DW Cloud.
