With C3™ CMS, upgrading firmware can be performed from your Windows computer, rather than having to physically go to your recording unit to perform the process.
This article will outline how to use the C3™ CMS program to remotely upgrade the firmware of a standalone DVR or NVR.
Note: This process is not available for Macintosh OS.
Note: If you have not already done so, please install C3™ CMS to your computer and create a site for your recording unit.
If you do not have a copy of the latest firmware file:
You may compare the current Firmware Version number of the DVR or NVR (in the System Information menu) to the version listed on the product page to determine which version is newest.
Click on the Download icon to download the firmware file.
To upgrade your standalone DVR or NVR through C3™ CMS:
Note: The C3EventServer program is included when initially installing the C3™ CMS application to a Windows computer.
Click on Health Check.
Select your Site from the Site List or double-click on the site in the Status Window.
Click the Upgrade button to start the backup.
Note: C3™ CMS will not notify you when the upgrade has been completed. Use the Health Check tool to confirm the currently applied firmware version (FW Version).
