Issue Description
Generic Events do not trigger email notifications when sent by C2P ESE.
Solution
- Open the settings and navigate to Advanced > Rule Definitions > Edit and confirm that there is an entry for “Generic Events”.
Only one (1) Generic Event is allowed on the form. - Check the C2P ESE and confirm that the setting is enabled for the Generic Event.
- Confirm that the IP address of the VMS base is correct.
- When creating a rule, confirm that all changes are correct and saved. All settings need to be saved on exit to ensure that they are applied.
- The Procedure manager is set to show Alert and Generic Events (checked-off). Check the spelling of the event name.
- If needed, use PortPeeker to confirm that Generic Events are being sent. You can temporarily change the C2P ESE port and send a Generic Event to a safe port number (for testing) and check the PortPeeker log file for the ESE.
