DW Spectrum Remote Access
To access your DW Spectrum Site from an external network, you will need to make your Site available for access through the Internet.
To allow external network access to your DW Spectrum Site, there are two options that you may use:

DW Cloud (Recommended Method)
With the release of version 3.0, the DW Spectrum team introduced an alternative approach to reach and maintain Sites without the necessity to struggle with router settings to forward ports.
The use of DW Cloud™ requires both the DW Spectrum Media Server and DW Spectrum Client to be able to reach some ports of the DW Spectrum Cloud Portal. (The firewall must allow outgoing TCP and UDP connections from your server PC to DW Spectrumvms.com ports)
You will need to configure your firewall policy to pass the ports:
- 80 - conventional HTTP port. Can be checked with just opening http://DW Spectrumvms.com at web-browser from your server PC
- 443 - conventional HTTPS port. Can be checked with browser by opening: https://DW Spectrumvms.com
- 3345 - Cloud Service port. Can be checked with any telnet client. For example, in Ubuntu Terminal with command:
$telnet DW Spectrumvms.com 3345)
Traditional Port Forwarding
You will need to port forward the TCP port within your router (or firewall settings) to allow access from the Internet to your DW Media Server.
By default, DW Spectrum uses TCP Port 7001. If you want your server to be Internet accessible, you will need to forward this port value (7001).
