The DW Spectrum® IPVMS Server has certain options that require a restart in order to apply changes. When the Server application runs on a Windows system, these parameters are stored within the registry. When run on Linux, the mediaserver.conf file is used.
This article will outline how to access the DW Spectrum® IPVMS Server Configuration Option Documentation, located within the DW Spectrum® web interface.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Digital Watchdog\Digital Watchdog Media Server
/opt/digitalwatchdog/mediaserver/etc/mediaserver.conf
Some parameters will be shown by default within the above locations, while other parameters are hidden. The parameters that are hidden must be added manually in some cases.
To apply changes, the Server application will need to be restarted. After doing so, a user can get a description of the parameters that are supported by the current Server application version through the Server’s web interface.
