DW Spectrum® IPVMS Mobile
As of August 2020, the Google Play Store requires Android 5.0 (or newer) and 64-bit architecture support, while phasing out 32-bit architecture. Due to these adjustments, the Google Play Store will no longer support the DW Spectrum® IPVMS Mobile application on a 32-bit device. Android devices using a 32-bit architecture may no longer be able to locate DW Spectrum IPVMS Mobile in the app store.
This article will outline where you can check the compatibility of your Android mobile device and how to manually install DW Spectrum® IPVMS Mobile.
**NOTE: To download a 32-bit version of the mobile application, use the link located in the Installing DW Spectrum® IPVMS Mobile Manually section below.
Supported/Affected Devices:
- DW Blackjack® Servers
**NOTE: DW Spectrum® Servers must use v3.0 or newer of the server software to work with the DW Spectrum® IPVMS Mobile application.
Check Device Compatibility
To check if an Android device is compatible, access the Google Play Store using a web browser. The browser will show information about the mobile application and will indicate if the device is compatible.
**NOTE: For the Google Play Store to display if the device is compatible, the device must be logged into a Google account. To see what devices are compatible, you may click on the message at the top of the store page.

Mobile Application Download
If the Android device is an older model and is not compatible with the 64-bit version of the mobile application, you can download a 32-bit version of the mobile application here:
- 32-bit Android / ARM32 – Client Installer v20.4.32276
- 64-bit Android / ARM64 – Client Installer v20.4.32276
Mobile Application Installation
If an Android mobile device is compatible with the application, it can be installed directly from the Google Play Store on the mobile device itself. However, if an older Android mobile device is NOT compatible with the application due to OS, the application must be installed manually.
To manually install the mobile application:
- Download and save the 32-bit Client Installer file (dwspectrum-client-20.4.32276-android_arm.32.apk) to the Android device.
If the installation file is downloaded directly to the mobile device, but not from the Google Play Store, the mobile device may display a warning message. Click the OK button to download the file.
**NOTE: You may either download the file directly to the device or you may download the file to a computer, then transfer the file to the device.
- Locate the file on the mobile device.
If the file was downloaded directly while using the device, the file will be located in the mobile device’s Downloads folder. If the file was transferred from a computer to the device, the file will be located in the directory that was selected at the time of the file transfer.
Select and open the file.
- If the mobile device settings are configured to deny the installation of applications that were downloaded from outside of the Google Play Store, a warning message will display. Make sure that the mobile device is permitted to install unknown applications to continue.
- When the Android mobile device displays the confirmation message to install DW Spectrum® IPVMS Mobile application, choose to install the application.
Once the application has finished installing, you will be able to launch DW Spectrum® IPVMS Mobile application from the application list on the mobile device.
