SiteWatch Detectors
DW SiteWatch Detectors are perfect for any installation that requires additional motion detection. All detectors can be fully integrated with DW Spectrum IPVMS and come with different options for deployment.
SiteWatch detectors can be set up to send Generic Event messages to DW Spectrum through the Events feature. These events can be used to trigger notifications in the DW Spectrum Client and Event Rules.
This article will outline an example, where the system is configured so that if motion is detected in an area protected by a SiteWatch detector, a camera feed associated with the location will pop-up for assigned DW Spectrum users.
**IMPORTANT: When adding any SiteWatch device, make sure that the DW Spectrum Server can ping the device so that DW Spectrum can authenticate commands without issue. If you are unable to ping the SiteWatch device but are somehow able to still access its web client, you may need to move the connection to a subnetwork where the DW Spectrum Server can see it completely.
**NOTE: For a Generic Event rule between a SiteWatch Detector and DW Spectrum to work, digest authentication must be deployed in the DW Spectrum System. For more information, you may refer to the article DW Spectrum – Enabling Digest Authentication.
Supported/Affected Devices:
- DW SiteWatch™ Laser Surveillance Sensor
- DW-DTLA500
- DW SiteWatch™ Quad PIR Motion Detector
- DW-DTMWIPW
- DW-DTPIRIPW
