SightLogix Alarm Notification
This article will provide an example Event Rule that will trigger a notification when using SightLogix cameras.
Setup Process
SightLogix Device Configuration
- Open the device setup menu and configure the alarm settings to use human detection, motion detection, tripwire, etc.
DW Spectrum will use the alert from the camera to trigger notifications.
- For the Motion on Event Servers setting, select “Custom” and add a custom string:
http://admin:<admin_pw>@<Server IP>:7001/api/createEvent?source=Sightlogix&caption=Alarm+detected
Example:
http://admin:[email protected]:7001/api/createEvent?source=Sightlogix&caption=Alarm+detected
DW Spectrum Configuration
- After adding the SiteLogix device to the Server, right-click on the camera and select “Camera Settings”.
- In the General tab, configure the Authentication setting to use the camera’s ONVIF credentials for its connection to DW Spectrum.
- Select the Expert tab. Under the Stream Settings section, enable “Keep camera stream and profile settings”. This will force DW Spectrum to use the camera’s stream quality output settings, rather than defaulting to using quality settings determined by the Recording Schedule that is set for the Server.
- When events are detected by the camera, you will receive an “Alarm Detected” message in the Notification panel of DW Spectrum Client.
