New Firmware Notes

  • Enhanced the firmware upgrade process by adding “Safe Firmware” update mode (for PVX20 series only).

 

Special Instructions/Notes

Customers must install the updated plugin (plugin-fwsafe-V1.0.1-g0b30fb81.l37.zip) BEFORE updating the camera firmware. Once the camera has been updated to firmware version S13.2.3_20250805, the camera can be updated without needing to update plugin first.

 

Updating Camera Plug-in

To update the plugin (v1.0.1):

  1. In the camera's web client, navigate to Setup > System > Plug-in.
  2. In the Plug-in Update section, select the plugin file from the computer for upload.
  3. Once the plug-in update has completed, close the Setup menu and refresh the web browser page. The Firmware Update page will display.

 

Updating Camera Firmware

To update the firmware from version S13.2.3_20250409 to S13.2.3_20250805:

  1. In the camera's web client, navigate to Setup > System > Firmware Update. 
  2. Click the "Select file" button, select the firmware file from the computer, then click the "Start F/W Update" button.
  3. Allow the camera to complete the firmware update. Once completed, the camera will automatically reboot and begin to use the new firmware.

 

New Firmware Upgrade Process (FW Update Mode)

To upgrade firmware while using the new version S13.2.3_20250805:

  1. In the camera’s web client, open the Setup menu and navigate to System > Firmware Update.
  2. Select “Set to FW Upgrade Mode”, then click “OK” to confirm.
  1. Select the firmware file then click “Start F/W Update”.
  2. Allow the camera to complete the firmware update process. Once completed, the camera will automatically reboot and begin using the new firmware.
